The Orgastic Mistresses

"Through Understanding, the Current Flows."

The Orgastic Mistresses believe that every conduit, every bridge, every cloud tower, and every humming crystal is a hymn made tangible.
To build is to praise.
To repair is to heal.
To understand the Living Current is to glimpse the mind of the Ecstatic Fire itself.
Where others celebrate miracles, the Mistresses devote themselves to learning how miracles work.

Signature Design Element

"The Rod of Transmission"
Every Orgastic Mistress is issued a Surveyor's Staff upon taking her final vows. More than a badge of office, it is an instrument of measurement, calibration, ritual, and authority.
To the people, it is the unmistakable sign that an engineer of the Living Current has arrived.
To the Mistresses, it is simply another tool.

"Mistresses of the Great Conduits"
Only a small fraction of the order ever reaches this level.
Their symbol is the Artificer's Rig.
Instead of carrying a Surveyor's Staff, they wear an articulated copper harness mounted across the shoulders and back.
Folded, it resembles elegant metallic wings.
When deployed, it unfolds into a radiant halo of engineering instruments.
Watching one at work resembles watching a conductor leading an orchestra—except the orchestra is a cathedral-sized power plant.

The Creed

"We are the Mistresses of the Living Current. We listen before we command. We measure before we alter. We build before we bless. The Fire does not dwell only within flesh, but within every conduit that carries its light. Copper is our scripture. Crystal is our lens. Understanding is our devotion. May every current flow without obstruction. May every engine sing in harmony. May every generation inherit a brighter world than the one we received."

Aesthetic

"Cloud-Straddler" began as a nickname among ordinary citizens. People rarely witness the careful calculations or maintenance work. Instead they see women standing atop impossible towers while thunderstorms gather around gleaming copper spires. Lightning dances, blue light fills the sky, rain begins to fall.
The people smile and say:
"The Cloud-Straddlers are riding the heavens again."
The order eventually embraced the nickname with affectionate pride.

Their attire reflects both ceremonial dignity and practical engineering. They wear layered robes in white, slate blue, and polished copper tones, tailored for movement through workshops, towers, and temples.
Broad belts and harnesses carry precision instruments alongside ritual objects. The distinction between tool and relic is intentionally blurred. Many pieces are exquisitely engraved with flowing motifs of vines, spirals, paired currents, and blooming flowers, making even their instruments expressions of sacred artistry.

Their defining garment is the Resonance Coat. A long, fitted white coat that falls to mid-thigh. Think of a laboratory coat designed by an Art Deco cathedral architect. The silhouette is unmistakable. Across the city, citizens immediately recognize a Mistresses simply by the coat.
Close-fitting work shorts. Constructed from durable woven linen reinforced with flexible copper mesh. Designed specifically so nothing can become tangled in machinery. The exposed legs aren't considered bold, they're simply practical. In the Dominion, bare skin has never been the scandal. Poor craftsmanship is.
